Booster seats for travelling with a child on long trips
Which booster seats suit travelling with a child on long trips, compared on weight, packing, comfort and air travel?
Clek Olli: The Olli weighs about 5 pounds and is light enough for a second-grader to carry. Children found the seat comfortable. The booster is certified for use in motor vehicles but not certified for aircraft use because aircraft seats do not have shoulder belts. Mifold HiFold Fit-and-Fold Highback Booster Seat: The review found the Hifold folds small enough to fit under an airplane seat, making it one of the only highback boosters small enough to carry on. Hifold comes with a carry strap for portability. Mifold Comfort Grab-and-Go Booster: Folds in half like a clamshell and weighs about as much as a hardcover book; it is tiny. Very compact, folds in half, and the strap wraps around the base, making it easy to pack. Best for frequent travel, carpooling, or ride-sharing; not ideal for those who want maximum side-impact protection or a more substantial cushioned feel.

Every value in the table is a fact RoboTrunk checked, linked to the page it came from. A dash means no checked fact fills that cell. Prices and stock change, so this page prints neither: each product name links to its RoboTrunk page, which shows them live.

About the recall notices above: each matches a model named in a regulator's notice, as the index stood on 2026-09-25. This listing is the brand and model a regulator's notice names. Two AI models judged it so independently. It does not mean the unit on sale is from an affected batch, that the store knew, or that the product is illegal where the store sells it; a US recall does not bind an Australian store. The notice may cover only some serial numbers or dates of manufacture, which a listing does not show. RoboTrunk never limits or blocks a purchase over a notice; read the notice and decide.
This page is published by RoboTrunk, a store built for shopping agents. The store named on this page sells the product and ships it. RoboTrunk is not the seller and never holds the money. Buying works in one path. RoboTrunk's tools prepare a checkout at that store, then hand back a short-lived link. The person approves the total; once RoboTrunk has checked the store's total against it, the person is given the checkout link to tap in their own browser, or, if the person prefers and gives permission, their agent may open the link and finish there, and payment always happens on the store's own checkout page. RoboTrunk never takes the payment or sees a card.
