Recall Radar, edition 1
RoboTrunk searches product-safety recalls from the US, Canadian, UK and Australian regulators and makes that information available to shopping agents, so they can help people make the most informed decision. The figure below is for agents to read; a person asking their agent about a product gets the notice itself, with its link.
164 of 1,767,330 products sold by 854 independent online stores that AI shopping agents can buy from match a model named in a product-safety recall issued in the last five years by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Health Canada or Transport Canada, the UK's Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) or Australia's ACCC. 134 of them match a US notice.

A product that matches notices from two regulators counts once in the total and once under each regulator.
163 of the 164 match a model whose recall covers only some batches, serial numbers or dates of manufacture, which a store listing does not show. None match a banned category that only a laboratory test could confirm. A further 84 products matched only 2 notices that are not a recall (a regulator's safety report, or a notice whose own text says it is not a recall); they are not in the count above.
What a match means
This listing is the brand and model a regulator's notice names. Two AI models judged it so independently. It does not mean the unit on sale is from an affected batch, that the store knew, or that the product is illegal where the store sells it; a US recall does not bind an Australian store. The notice may cover only some serial numbers or dates of manufacture, which a listing does not show. RoboTrunk never limits or blocks a purchase over a notice; read the notice and decide.
What was checked
28 NHTSA (US) child restraint recalls: Child restraint recall campaigns (NHTSA record type "C" in the recall flat file) whose Part 573 report NHTSA received 2021-09-25 to 2026-09-25 (the last 5 years), one notice per campaign; 1,850 CPSC (US) recalls: Recalls dated 2021-09-25 to 2026-09-25 (the last 5 years), as the CPSC recall API returns them; 1,304 Health Canada and Transport Canada recalls: In-scope records (Organization "Consumer product safety", or Category "Child Car Seat") first published 2021-09-25 to 2026-09-25 (the last 5 years), by the alert page's original published date; 3,730 OPSS (UK) alerts, reports and recalls: Whatever GOV.UK's listing carries: every OPSS product safety alert, report and recall (the whole listing); bodies read for notices dated 2021-09-25 onwards, the rest keep the listing's title and description; 119 ACCC (Australia) recalls and bans: Whatever the ACCC feeds carry: the recall feed's 100 most recent recalls (2026-05-15 to 2026-09-25) and every ban in the ban feed (bans stay in force, so no window); all fetched 2026-09-25. Of these, 333 concern car seats, cots, sleepers, prams, high chairs, monitors, carriers, play yards, changing tables or bath seats, and those were matched against the index as read on 2026-09-25 (dates are UTC). A listing counted only when the notice's brand and an exact identifier (model number, model name or barcode) both pointed at it, two AI models then agreed independently, and a model reading of the notice's own words said the regulator calls it a recall or a ban.
What was not checked. Toys, Australian recalls older than the ACCC feed's window, the oldest UK OPSS notices, EU Safety Gate alerts, and listings that name a brand but not a model.
