## Built for shopping agents: what RoboTrunk does for every product

We asked shopping agents, including Meta's Muse first-hand, what they need from a store. This is what they asked for, and what we have built.

RoboTrunk is working through its catalogue, so a step may not be done for this one yet. Where a step is done per product, the line ends with what is done for this product.

- **Deep research:** We read the maker's manual, independent reviews, video review transcripts and the store's own page, and publish each finding with its source and the date read. `check_product` returns them with a source for each. *This product:* 62 checked facts, research depth trimmed read, checked 2026-10-25T04:07:13.837Z, in the [evidence pack](/agent/evidence/mybabyshoppe-ca--pipa-1).
- **Receipts:** Every published fact has a receipt showing its source quote. `check_product` and `get_product` return the checked facts that have one. *This product:* each checked fact listed below has one; the source quotes are in the [evidence pack](/agent/evidence/mybabyshoppe-ca--pipa-1).
- **Safety:** `check_product` asks the product-safety regulators live (US CPSC, NHTSA and FDA, Health Canada, the UK's OPSS, Australia's ACCC) whether a recall names a product, listed here or not, and flags a match with its notice; a recall never blocks the buyer. *This product:* this page holds no recall result for it yet; `check_product` asks the regulators now.
- **Recall watch:** `watch_recalls` tells the buyer if a product bought here is recalled later.
- **Second-hand listings:** `check_listing` runs the same recall check on a second-hand listing someone found, and adds what the listing leaves out and the price new.
- **The real price:** The full price to the buyer's country, with shipping and tax, each part quoted from the store's policy or, where a part is not settled, what the total depends on: `check_product` and `search_catalog` take the buyer's country and postcode. *This product:* this store's price was read from its catalogue at 2026-10-25T19:47:11.264Z.
- **A checkout that finishes:** RoboTrunk lists only stores whose agent checkout it has verified. `create_checkout` prepares the order at the store; `complete_checkout` returns a link to the store's own checkout. The checkout can be finished in either of two ways: the person taps the link in their own browser, or their agent opens it and completes the checkout. RoboTrunk checks the store's total against a budget ceiling before it issues the link. Payment always happens on the store's own page, and RoboTrunk never holds the money. No store pays for placement; RoboTrunk may earn a commission from some stores via their affiliate programs.
- **Markdown copy:** Every page has a Markdown copy: [this page's copy](https://robotrunk.com/products/ucp/mybabyshoppe-ca/10772227358913.md).
- **Photos and ratings:** Search results carry the product photo and, where the store's own page publishes one, its rating (`search_catalog`).
- **Fit answers:** `check_fit` answers whether a listing fits a car, pram or bottle, with the exact quote from the store's page, or says it is not known.
- **Back-in-stock watches:** `watch_back_in_stock` starts a watch on a listing the store shows as sold out; `get_back_in_stock_watch` shows when it is back in stock.
- **Maker's manual:** `ask_product_manual` answers from the maker's manual with the exact passage and page, or says the manual does not cover it.
- **Tools and guide:** Every tool and its description is at https://robotrunk.com/mcp; the guide is at [/agents\.md](/agents.md).
- **Research from other stores:** Coming soon: reading other stores' listings of the same product as new research sources.

## Checked facts

Each fact below was checked against the source it cites before it was published. Each carries that source's link and the time RoboTrunk read it. 62 checked facts, checked 2026-10-25T04:07:13.837Z. Research depth: trimmed read. Deep read: the store's own data and 17 outside pages \(the store's own product page; maker page; manual; review; blog; regulator recall search \(CPSC \(United States\)\); regulator recall search \(Health Canada\); official safety test results \(CREP, the Child Restraint Evaluation Program\); official safety test results \(NHTSA's Car Seat Ease of Use Ratings\); official safety test results \(ADAC's child seat test\); video review \(derived summary of its captions\)\), each read in full by RoboTrunk and trimmed to its main content, then written up and checked\. Facts from the maker or a manual quote the page word for word; what real users report is summarised with a link to the page read\. Recall status was checked directly with CPSC \(United States\), Health Canada: A CPSC recall search for My Baby Shoppe / PIPA returned no records and the Health Canada recall open data returned none mentioning My Baby Shoppe\. No recall notice specific to this listing was found; the manual still advises registering the seat so owners can be reached if a recall is issued\. Official safety test results were looked up directly with CREP, the Child Restraint Evaluation Program, NHTSA's Car Seat Ease of Use Ratings, ADAC's child seat test: CREP, the Child Restraint Evaluation Program \(Australia and New Zealand\): CREP's published list includes a rear\-facing 'Nuna Pipa CF\-03' rated under the 2012\-17 protocol \(crash protection 4\.4/5, ease of use 3\.1/5, added May 2015\) and a 'Nuna Pipa Klik CF\-06\-001AU' rated in 2018\-20\. Neither matches this listing's model code; the tested seat is the Australian CF\-03 variant of an earlier generation, so its stars are not carried over to this seat\. NHTSA's Car Seat Ease of Use Ratings \(United States\): NHTSA has rated the Nuna Pipa rx \(model CF12508607BLK, made 2023\-11\-24\) at 4 of 5 stars overall in the rear\-facing mode, with labels at 2 of 5\. The original PIPA sold here is not in NHTSA's list, and these are ease\-of\-use ratings, not crash\-test results\. ADAC's child seat test \(Germany, the UK and Europe\): ADAC has tested many PIPA variants — Pipa Next \(2020 and 2022\), Pipa Next \+ Base Next, Pipa Urbn, Pipa Lite \+ Base Next and Pipa Icon — but the original PIPA sold here does not appear in its published list, so no ADAC grade applies to it\. Not read, because they are member\-only or refused RoboTrunk: Consumer Reports car seat ratings, Which? child car seat tests, JPMA certified products\.

- weight and installation: The store's listing repeats Nuna's claims of a 7\.9 lb carrier and a five\-second install\.. Source: <https://the-babyshoppe.myshopify.com/products.json> (listing), read 2026-10-24T19:33:51.387Z.
- overview: A retailer blog calls the original PIPA the tried\-and\-true version: just under 8 lb, installable with either the base or a vehicle seat belt, four colour options, dream drape, side impact protection, commercial aircraft certified and made without added flame retardants\.. - dimensions and limits: A Canadian retailer blog gives 26\.1 in high by 17\.5 in wide by 25\.2 in long, 7\.9 lb for the carrier and 21\.9 lb with the base, and a 4\-35 lb or 32 in limit\.. Source: <https://snugglebugz.ca/blogs/learning-centre/nuna-pipa-infant-car-seat-review> (blog, Snuggle Bugz, published 2023-09-22), read 2026-10-25T03:45:48.182Z.
- safety test: CREP \(Australia/New Zealand\) rated the Nuna Pipa CF\-03 in the rear\-facing mode: crash protection 4\.4 of 5 stars and ease of use 3\.1 of 5 stars, tested under the 2012\-17 protocol and added in May 2015; the crash\-protection rating measures how well the seat protected the child in CREP's crash tests\. This is the Australian CF\-03 variant, not the CF03507CDR code sold here\. Seat page: https://www\.childcarseats\.com\.au/seat/nuna\-pipa\-cf\-03. - safety test: NHTSA's ease\-of\-use ratings list the different Nuna Pipa rx \(model CF12508607BLK, made 2023\-11\-24\), not this PIPA: rear\-facing it scored 4 of 5 overall, 4 for securing the child, 4 for vehicle installation features, 3 for instructions and 2 for labels, with notes that the harness must be rethreaded and that the carrier handle position is not labelled\. These are ease\-of\-use ratings, not crash results\.. Source: <https://api.nhtsa.gov/childSeats?dataSet=ratings> (guide), read 2026-10-25T03:46:01.694Z.
- safety test: ADAC's child seat test list contains many PIPA variants but not the original PIPA sold here; for example the Pipa Next \+ Base Next was tested in 2022 and graded 1,8 overall \(lower is better\), approved for 40 cm to 83 cm\.. - hands\-on overview: A short video walkthrough shows the latch base with red\-to\-green indicators and bubble levels, the floor\-reaching stability leg, the 7\.9 lb carrier fitting small apartments, a UPF 50 shade that also muffles sound, stroller adapters for other brands, and flags the high price as the main downside\.. - weight limit: The US manual gives a child weight range of 4 to 32 lb \(2 to 14\.5 kg\); the maker's Canadian product page instead gives 4 to 35 lb, so the two sources disagree on the upper weight limit\.. - size and weight: Measured 17\.5 in wide across the handles and 13 in across the base at the belt path; the carrier weighed 9\.5 lb and 20\.2 lb with the base on their scale, well above the quoted 7\.9 lb because that figure excludes the canopy and insert\.. - size and weight: Measured 9\.4 lb for the carrier alone, 19 in shell height, and a 7\-year expiry; the seat is rated 4\-32 lb and 32 in in the US\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.815Z.
- durability: One owner who stored the seat for a second child found the whole foam insert came away from the seat frame, held only by a single glue line, and would not recommend it for use across two children\.. Source: <https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/nuna-pipa-original> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:02.885Z.
- assembly out of the box: The seat arrived essentially assembled: canopy fitted, handle attached, harness already threaded at the smallest setting, so there was nothing to build and only the manual to read\.. - compatibility and extras: Says it clicks into Nuna MIXX, TAVO and TRVL strollers and, with an adapter, UPPAbaby Vista V3 and Cruz V2, and that a rain cover and a second base are sold separately rather than included\.. - recline problem: The Canadian version installed over\-reclined in most vehicles tested; Nuna approved adding a rolled towel under the front edge of the base, a fix that is unusual and confirmed as acceptable for all Canadian PIPA versions, with the newer manual now showing it\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review-canada/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.132Z.
- base size: The base is 23 in long, longer than most; Nuna confirmed no more than 20% of the base may overhang the vehicle seat when the load leg is not used, and more may overhang when it is\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.815Z.
- movement after install: Several owners reported lateral movement after installing to the instructions; one had it corrected by a professional fitting service and said it then felt solid, while others remained uneasy\.. - harness adjustment: Rethreading the shoulder straps was easy, but setting the crotch strap to its smallest setting, which threads through both slots, took real effort because the strap is tight and secure\.. Source: <https://www.pnmag.com/gear-reviews/car-seats/nuna-pipa/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:22.236Z.
- usability: Criticisms include the lack of a no\-rethread harness at this price, weak dream drape magnets that a breeze can flip open, and a two\-handed release from some stroller adapters, especially Baby Jogger\.. Source: <https://www.babybargains.com/infant-car-seat-review-nina-pipa/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:23.892Z.
- weight and height limits: The maker's Canadian page gives the recommended use as rear\-facing for 4\-35 lb and up to 32 in tall; the US manual gives a lower upper weight limit of 4 to 32 lb, so the two sources disagree\.. Source: <https://nunababy.ca/en/product/pipa/CF03507CDR> (guide), read 2026-10-25T03:44:54.931Z.

- version differences: The Canadian PIPA has no load leg, unlike the version sold in the United States, so buyers should expect a different base from US reviews\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review-canada/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.132Z.
- ease of install: Lower\-anchor installation takes seconds with rigid connectors that click on and show green, and the included anchor guides help with deeply buried anchors; the belt lockoff is described as one of the most finger\-friendly they have used\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.815Z.
- heat and fabric: Owners in hot Australian summers reported babies getting sweaty and uncomfortable, needing the liner removed earlier than the weight guidance suggests, with the fabric described as not breathable\.. Source: <https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/nuna-pipa-original> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:02.885Z.
- canopy and window: The UPF 50\+ canopy is easy to fit but needs two hands, its peekaboo window flap uses noisy Velcro rather than magnets, and the zip\-out dream drape with magnetic corners was a favourite for shade and privacy\.. - rigid anchors: The rigid lower anchors swivel down and clip on without tightening, but because the spacing is fixed they cannot be used on non\-standard anchor spacing, ruling out most centre seating positions\.. - recline and leg limits: Only two recline settings on the base make correct recline hard in some vehicles, and Nuna confirmed a pool noodle or rolled towel may replace the recline block; the stability leg will not reach the floor over large centre humps and must not be used over a floor storage compartment\.. - green indicator: The red\-to\-green indicator only shows the base is attached to the anchors; installers still have to check for under an inch of movement at the belt path and check the recline level\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review-canada/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.132Z.
- harness routing: The harness must be rethreaded to change height and must pass underneath the two metal bars on the underside of the seat; threading it over the bars is an easy and potentially dangerous mistake\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.815Z.

- dream drape: The drape unrolls from the canopy and attaches with magnets at the baby's feet, has mesh side panels and feels soft; it covers almost the whole baby, but the magnets are weak enough for a six\-month\-old to kick a corner loose\.. Source: <https://csftl.org/nuna-pipa-review-canada/> (review), read 2026-10-25T03:45:01.132Z.

- everyday use: Praised as light and easy to carry, with fabric parts that wash easily, and it clicked straight onto Bugaboo, Maxi\-Cosi\-adapter and Mountain Buggy Nano strollers and worked well for long\-haul flights\.. - harness and insert: Harness slots run from 6\.5 in with the low birth weight cushion to 11 in at the highest setting, the crotch buckle has two positions about 4 and 5 in from the seat back, and the low birth weight pillow has no weight labelling, making it easy to leave in past 11 lb\.. ## Questions we researched but could not confirm

Every fact above is cited. To find them we read the store listing, the maker's page, the manual, owner reviews, blogs, video reviews, the recall records of CPSC \(United States\) and Health Canada and the safety test results of CREP, the Child Restraint Evaluation Program, NHTSA's Car Seat Ease of Use Ratings and ADAC's child seat test and searched for regulator recall notices and owner forums. We also chased the questions below across those sources and found no reliable answer, so you know exactly where the evidence ends and never have to guess.

- How many years does Nuna's warranty cover this seat, and what is excluded?
- Which safety standard is this seat certified to, FMVSS 213 or CMVSS 213?
- Do the Caviar, Granite and Riveted options differ in fabric as well as colour?
- Does the Canadian version sold here include a stability leg on the base?
- Will the Riveted trim scratch or wear through its coating with daily use?
- Is the seat cover machine washable, and may it be tumble dried?
- What is the carrier's exact weight with canopy and infant insert fitted?

This page is published by RoboTrunk, a store built for shopping agents.

The store named on this page sells the product and ships it. RoboTrunk is not
the seller and never holds the money.

Buying works in one path. RoboTrunk's tools prepare a checkout at that store,
then hand back a short-lived link. The person approves the total; once RoboTrunk
has checked the store's total against it, the person is given the checkout link to
tap in their own browser, or, if the person prefers and gives permission, their
agent may open the link and finish there, and payment always happens on the
store's own checkout page. RoboTrunk never takes the payment or sees a card.
