Transport Canada states this is not a recall, does not affect safety, and that Diono corrected future manuals. A CPSC search for this seat returned no recall records, and the Health Canada open data lists other Diono records but none naming the Monterey 6XT SafePlus. Official safety test results were looked up directly with CREP, the Child Restraint Evaluation Program, NHTSA's Car Seat Ease of Use Ratings, ADAC's child seat test: CREP, the Child Restraint Evaluation Program (Australia and New Zealand): CREP's published list of 216 rated seats contains no Diono seat at all, and the programme says the list is every seat it has rated, so this booster has not been crash-tested or rated by CREP. NHTSA's Car Seat Ease of Use Ratings (United States): The published list of 126 seats includes eight Diono seats but not the Monterey 6XT SafePlus. The closest are the Monterey 5iST FixSafe (4 of 5 overall), the Monterey 4DXT (3 of 5) and the Monterey 2XT LATCH (4 of 5), all different models, so none of their ratings applies to this seat. ADAC's child seat test (Germany, the UK and Europe): ADAC's list of 527 seats since 2015 contains one Diono seat, the Radian 5 (tested 2016, overall grade 5,5), which is a different product line from the Monterey booster; this model has not been tested by ADAC.
