# Bugaboo OPEN BOX Donkey 6 Complete Single\-to\-Double Stroller \- Black / Desert Taupe Melange / Desert Taupe Melange \| live price, prepared checkout ## Built for shopping agents: what RoboTrunk does for every product We asked shopping agents, including Meta's Muse first-hand, what they need from a store. This is what they asked for, and what we have built. RoboTrunk is working through its catalogue, so a step may not be done for this one yet. Where a step is done per product, the line ends with what is done for this product. - **Deep research:** We read the maker's manual, independent reviews, video review transcripts and the store's own page, and publish each finding with its source and the date read. `check_product` returns them with a source for each. *This product:* 75 checked facts, research depth trimmed read, checked 2026-10-09T06:54:51.457Z, in the [evidence pack](/agent/evidence/albeebaby-com--bugaboo-open-box-donkey-6-complete-single-to-double-stroller-black-desert-taupe-melange-desert-taupe-melange). - **Receipts:** Every published fact has a receipt showing its source quote. `check_product` and `get_product` return the checked facts that have one. *This product:* each checked fact listed below has one; the source quotes are in the [evidence pack](/agent/evidence/albeebaby-com--bugaboo-open-box-donkey-6-complete-single-to-double-stroller-black-desert-taupe-melange-desert-taupe-melange). - **Safety:** `check_product` asks the product-safety regulators live (US CPSC, NHTSA and FDA, Health Canada, the UK's OPSS, Australia's ACCC) whether a recall names a product, listed here or not, and flags a match with its notice; a recall never blocks the buyer. *This product:* this page holds no recall result for it yet; `check_product` asks the regulators now. - **Recall watch:** `watch_recalls` tells the buyer if a product bought here is recalled later. - **Second-hand listings:** `check_listing` runs the same recall check on a second-hand listing someone found, and adds what the listing leaves out and the price new. - **The real price:** The full price to the buyer's country, with shipping and tax, each part quoted from the store's policy or, where a part is not settled, what the total depends on: `check_product` and `search_catalog` take the buyer's country and postcode. *This product:* this store's price was read from its catalogue at 2026-10-20T19:34:41.976Z. - **A checkout that finishes:** RoboTrunk lists only stores whose agent checkout it has verified. `create_checkout` prepares the order at the store; `complete_checkout` returns a link to the store's own checkout. The checkout can be finished in either of two ways: the person taps the link in their own browser, or their agent opens it and completes the checkout. RoboTrunk checks the store's total against a budget ceiling before it issues the link. Payment always happens on the store's own page, and RoboTrunk never holds the money. No store pays for placement; RoboTrunk may earn a commission from some stores via their affiliate programs. - **Markdown copy:** Every page has a Markdown copy: [this page's copy](https://robotrunk.com/products/ucp/albeebaby-com/9582212415719.md). - **Photos and ratings:** Search results carry the product photo and, where the store's own page publishes one, its rating (`search_catalog`). - **Fit answers:** `check_fit` answers whether a listing fits a car, pram or bottle, with the exact quote from the store's page, or says it is not known. - **Back-in-stock watches:** `watch_back_in_stock` starts a watch on a listing the store shows as sold out; `get_back_in_stock_watch` shows when it is back in stock. - **Maker's manual:** `ask_product_manual` answers from the maker's manual with the exact passage and page, or says the manual does not cover it. - **Tools and guide:** Every tool and its description is at https://robotrunk.com/mcp; the guide is at [/agents\.md](/agents.md). - **Research from other stores:** Coming soon: reading other stores' listings of the same product as research sources. Each carries that source's link and the time RoboTrunk read it. 75 checked facts, checked 2026-10-09T06:54:51.457Z. Research depth: trimmed read. Deep read: the store's own data and 11 outside pages \(the store's own product page; maker page; manual; review; regulator recall search \(CPSC \(United States\)\); regulator recall search \(Health Canada\)\), each read in full by RoboTrunk and trimmed to its main content, then written up and checked\. Facts from the maker or a manual quote the page word for word; what real users report is summarised with a link to the page read\. Recall status was checked directly with CPSC \(United States\), Health Canada: A CPSC recall search for Bugaboo\-dc and the Donkey 6 returned no records, and Health Canada records mention no Bugaboo\-dc recalls; no recall applies to this model\. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - assembly: Setting the stroller up took about 30 minutes and needed the video tutorial to be watched several times; the design is not the most intuitive, though it was found easier to build than the earlier Donkey 5\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:12.465Z. - everyday use: Tested daily for four months with a two\-month\-old and a 15\-month\-old, it proved smooth to push and easy to manoeuvre in both single and double mode\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - conversion: Conversion is as easy as claimed: three clips, a button press and a slide widen the frame by 14 cm, with no tools or separate adapters for the basic change, done in under a minute once learned\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - build: The expanded frame feels like a solid one\-piece chassis with no flex or wobble, which was the biggest surprise\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - pushing: Owners praise how easily it pushes, including one\-handed use even with wrist pain, and rate it far above cheaper strollers they tried in store\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - conversion and wheels: The conversion is mechanical and quick rather than a rebuild, so it actually gets used, and puncture\-proof wheels remove the recurring maintenance job of air tyres\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:44.937Z. - what is included: Open\-box items include everything a brand\-new product comes with, double\-checked for missing pieces, and ship in the original packaging\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:12.465Z. - conversion: Changing between single and double took practice but became straightforward, and no adapters are needed for the carrycot or seat — the units simply slot on and off\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - storage: Owners value the large storage: 33 lbs under the seat and 22 lbs in the side bag, far more than the small basket limits on cheaper strollers\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - value: The price is hard to defend on function alone, since a tandem convertible does a comparable job for much less\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:45.324Z. - storage capacity: The underseat basket holds up to 15 kg \(33 lbs\) or 70 L, and the side bag 10 kg \(22 lbs\) on the chassis or 4 kg \(8\.8 lbs\) on the handlebar\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:12.465Z. - assembly: Assembly took about an hour and needed no tools; the printed instruction booklet was clear, but the QR code only led to Bugaboo's general website rather than the specific setup\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - weight: At 15\.2 kg in single mode it is a serious daily lift, roughly twice the weight of a typical travel pushchair, and heavier still in double mode\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - bulk: Owners describe it as bulky like most double strollers and say it does not stand on its own when folded, while the maker's page gives a self\-standing one\-piece fold, so the sources disagree\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - weight and fold: It is heavy and the folded size is bulky; owners most often mention lifting it into a car boot several times a day and a small car boot as the real constraint\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:44.937Z. - wheels: Front wheels are 10 inches and rear wheels are 12 inches\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - care: Bassinet fabric, seat fabric, sun canopy and mattress cover are machine washable at maximum 30°C/85°F, with no bleach, no tumble dry, no iron, no dry clean and always washed separately\.. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - manoeuvring: In duo mode it was challenging to navigate narrow streets; in single mode the width looks as if it will not clear tight sidewalks or doorways but is similar to most strollers on the market\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:12.465Z. - fabrics and rain: The bassinet fabric felt thicker and better quality than on the previous Donkey, the fabrics kept both children dry in heavy rain before covers were fitted, and the thin rain covers were easy to fit and came with their own storage bags\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - fold: The folded size is still large and buyers should measure their boot; the most compact fold requires removing the seat first, though it also folds in one piece with the seat on\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - twins and newborns: Twin owners used the two side\-by\-side bassinets so babies could sleep safely during frequent medical appointments, since infants should not stay in car seats for long\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - accessories: Accessories are extra and expensive — car seat adapters, a second bassinet and a wheeled board all add up beyond the headline price\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:44.937Z. - handlebar: The handlebar adjusts between 37\.8 and 40\.5 inches\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - care: The stroller is not resistant to salt water, and black rubber tyres may leave permanent marks on laminate, parquet, linoleum and carpet floors\.. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - fold and car fit: Folded in either mode it only just fitted the boot of a compact SUV, so boot dimensions are worth checking before buying\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:12.465Z. - handlebar and comfort: The adjustable handlebar comfortably suited two parents of very different heights and its lowest setting helped in tight spaces; the leather\-look bar was comfortable to hold\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - width: At 74 cm wide in double mode it should fit standard doorways but may need a slight wiggle, and narrow shopping aisles feel noticeably cramped\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - speed: Twin owners found it slow to push quickly, struggling to go faster than a 16\-minute mile\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - owner reports: Owner reports praise manoeuvrability, the narrow double width, build and fabric quality and strong resale values, while recurring criticisms are weight, folded size and accessory pricing; the site states it did not test the product itself\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:44.937Z. - materials: The outer fabric is 100% recycled water\-free dyed polyester\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - warnings: The product is not suitable for running or skating, and must never be taken on an escalator\.. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - folding: There are two folding methods: a standing fold that keeps the bassinet or seat attached, and a two\-piece fold requiring full disassembly that is cleaner and less clunky; breaking it down entirely is advised when the stroller is stored often\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:12.465Z. - size: It did not fit through every doorway and was tricky in small shops, and proved too large to store indoors comfortably, living in the garage instead\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - owner complaints: The most repeated owner complaints are the weight, the width in supermarket aisles, expensive accessories and the extra step of removing the seat for the smallest fold, while very few criticise the conversion mechanism, which holds up in long\-term use\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - durability and doorway fit: One owner called it a tank but loved it, and an owner with twins said it fitted through every doorway they encountered\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - materials: The handlebar grips are 100% PU faux \(vegan\) leather\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - warnings: The seat does not replace a cot or bed and is not intended for prolonged periods of sleeping\.. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - public transport: Getting it onto a train with a step needed two people, and the tester would not feel comfortable taking it on a tube and thought it would struggle on many buses\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - upgrade advice: It is probably not worth upgrading from a Donkey 5 in good condition, since the conversion mechanism and dimensions are unchanged, but the Donkey 6 is the one to buy new\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:17.866Z. - buying advice: Owners advise testing floor models in store before buying, and note the second sibling seat is costly while used sets and resale values are strong\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:24.156Z. - care: The mattress foam, underseat basket and leather\-look grips are wiped with a damp cloth; all other fabrics are machine\-washable at 30°C \(86°F\)\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - warnings: Only authentic Bugaboo replacement parts and Bugaboo\-approved accessories should be used with the stroller\.. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - folding: Folding takes several steps and a few minutes because the frame is heavy; it locks securely and stands upright, but both seats must be removed for the most compact fold\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - folded dimensions: It folds with the seat into a one\-piece self\-standing fold measuring 22 x 24\.2 x 35\.4 inches, although some owners report it does not stand on its own when folded, so the sources disagree\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - warranty: A limited manufacturer's warranty is supplied by Bugaboo International BV, with full conditions on bugaboo\.com, and claims for retailer purchases go to the retailer first\.. Source: (manual), read 2026-10-09T06:43:00.745Z. - stability and brakes: It felt stable with two children even with bags unevenly loaded, though going down some kerbs the width made it feel slightly wobbly; the single brake was reliable on hills and the five\-point harness gave a secure, comfortable fit\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - dimensions in use: In use with the seat it measures 87 x 60 x 111 cm \(34\.2 x 23\.6 x 43\.7 inches\)\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - storage access: Reaching items at the front of the basket could be awkward because the footrests partly block the opening, though smaller pockets at the back of the seat and bassinet were handy; size and price are the main drawbacks\.. Source: (review), read 2026-10-09T06:43:14.491Z. - what is included: The complete box contains the stroller base with chassis, wheels, wheel caps and pre\-assembled grips, plus seat, bassinet, mattress, sun canopy, underseat basket and side bag\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - doorway fit: In double or twin mode it is only 14 cm \(5\.5 inches\) wider than a single stroller and is designed to fit standard doorways and elevators\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - bassinet limits: The bassinet gives a flat newborn sleeping space until the baby reaches 9 kg \(20 lbs\)\.. Source: (guide), read 2026-10-09T06:42:49.612Z. - car seat compatibility: It fits many infant car seats including the Bugaboo Air Shield by Nuna, but Bugaboo car seat adapters are needed and sold separately\.. To find them we read the store listing, the maker's page, the manual, owner reviews and the recall records of CPSC \(United States\) and Health Canada and searched for regulator recall notices, blogs, owner forums and video reviews. We also chased the questions below across those sources and found no reliable answer, so you know exactly where the evidence ends and never have to guess. - Is a rain cover included with this open\-box listing? - What cosmetic imperfections might this open\-box unit have? - How well does the frame's paint or coating resist scratching and chipping? - Which specific infant car seat models fit without extra adapters? - Does this open\-box purchase qualify for Bugaboo's warranty registration extension? - What is the fully assembled weight in double mode? - How long does the first single\-to\-double conversion take? - Does the stroller develop squeaks or rattles with age? - Do the seat fabrics feel thick or thin to the touch? - How does the handlebar grip feel in hot weather?
