Lightest Infant Car Seat Bases for Moving Between Cars
Which infant car seat bases weigh the least, for carrying them between vehicles?
Britax StayTight Base: The review reports that the Arbor car seat base adds about 5.4 lb (2.4 kg) to the seat. Installation is done by lifting the lever, routing the seat belt through the color-coded belt path, buckling, and lowering the lever to lock it. Maxi-Cosi Ambra Infant Car Seat Base: The base weighs 10.75 lbs. Nuna PIPA Series Car Seat Base: The base itself weighs 14 lbs. The manufacturer's walkthrough shows the lower anchors rotating out of storage, clicking onto the vehicle anchors until indicators turn green, and the whole base going in within about five seconds. Cybex Cloud G Base: The base weighs 15.1 pounds. Rigid LATCH connectors click onto the vehicle's lower anchors, and the maker claims the install takes about 5 seconds. Maxi-Cosi Peri 180 Rotating Infant Car Seat Base: The base weighs 16.65 lbs. Threading the belt or LATCH through the belt path can be fiddly, so reading the manual fully first is advised; an install video helps visual learners. Clek Liing Infant Car Seat Base: The base weighs 17 lb. The reviewer reported installing the Liing with rigid LATCH in under five minutes.

Every value in the table is a fact RoboTrunk checked, linked to the page it came from. A dash means no checked fact fills that cell. Prices and stock change, so this page prints neither: each product name links to its RoboTrunk page, which shows them live.

This page is published by RoboTrunk, a store built for shopping agents. The store named on this page sells the product and ships it. RoboTrunk is not the seller and never holds the money. Buying works in one path. RoboTrunk's tools prepare a checkout at that store, then hand back a short-lived link. The person approves the total; once RoboTrunk has checked the store's total against it, the person is given the checkout link to tap in their own browser, or, if the person prefers and gives permission, their agent may open the link and finish there, and payment always happens on the store's own checkout page. RoboTrunk never takes the payment or sees a card. Where the rest of this site is: - /agent/story.md is what RoboTrunk is and how it works, in full. - /agent/tools.json is every tool, its arguments and its answers. - /agent/merchants is every store you can buy from through RoboTrunk. - /products/ucp is every store's indexed products. - /products/search is one search across every store, in plain words.
