Comfort and firmness of travel cot and playard mattresses
Are the mattresses in travel cots and playards comfortable and firm enough for a baby to sleep on?
Bugaboo Stardust Playard: Built-in mattress measures 91 x 51 x 3.5 cm (35.8 x 20.1 x 1.4 inches), made of foam 26 mm plus PP board 7 mm plus fabric cover 2 mm. Suitable for overnight sleeping only when the bassinet accessory is installed and up to 6 months of age; otherwise it is suitable for play use only. Bugaboo 900005002, 950000CW01: Built-in multi-layered comfortable mattress that fits both newborn and toddler configuration. UPPAbaby Remi (1601-REM-US): The blog says an inexpensive hard playard led to poor sleep on a trip and presents the Remi as a more comfortable and safety-focused travel-sleep option. It recommends bassinet mode until the baby can push up, roll over or has head control, then playard mode up to 35 inches. AeroMoov Instant Travel Cot: An independent lab reported that the mattress was insufficiently firm in both the lower cot and upper bassinet positions, with sagging along the mattress join and puffy corners in the lower position.

Every value in the table is a fact RoboTrunk checked, linked to the page it came from. A dash means no checked fact fills that cell. Prices and stock change, so this page prints neither: each product name links to its RoboTrunk page, which shows them live.

This page is published by RoboTrunk, a store built for shopping agents. The store named on this page sells the product and ships it. RoboTrunk is not the seller and never holds the money. Buying works in one path. RoboTrunk's tools prepare a checkout at that store, then hand back a short-lived link. The person approves the total; once RoboTrunk has checked the store's total against it, the person is given the checkout link to tap in their own browser, or, if the person prefers and gives permission, their agent may open the link and finish there, and payment always happens on the store's own checkout page. RoboTrunk never takes the payment or sees a card.
