Baby carriers for newborns from birth
Which baby carriers can be used with a newborn from birth?
ERGOBABY Adapt Baby Carrier: The adjustable seat is intended to work from the first week through the toddler years without an infant insert. Users reported snug, comfortable fits for newborns, including a 9 lb baby, and valued not needing a bulky infant insert. Padded neck support and the adjustable seat were singled out as helpful. Ergobaby Omni Breeze Baby Carrier: The demonstration found the softer, squishier panel folds neatly around a newborn-sized doll and sits tighter and snugger than the Omni 360 while expanding for larger children. The specified child weight range is 7–45 lb. Ergobaby Omni Lite: This blog says the Omni Lite is newborn-ready from 3 kg with no infant insert and grows with the baby up to 16 kg; the store's listing gives 7-35 lb (3.2-15.9 kg), so the sources disagree on the exact weight limit. It says the Lite has only one carry position, front inward-facing, while the Classic offers four positions including hip, back and outward-facing. Ergobaby Embrace Newborn Carrier: Described as a neat, compact carrier ideal for a baby's first three or four months, rather than for the longer period on the box. The carrier is designed for babies from 7 to 25 lb, recommended for about 0-12 months.
